Memory Bears in Newcastle — made from a loved one’s clothes
A bear made from the clothes of someone you love — soft, huggable, and yours to keep close. My most-loved keepsake.

There is nothing quite like holding a bear made from the clothes of someone you love. The familiar pattern of a shirt, the softness of a favourite cardigan — turned into something you can keep on the bed, hold at night, and pass on one day.
I make every memory bear by hand, here in Newcastle. When your items arrive with me, I treat them as carefully as you would. We’ll talk through the details together first — which garments, which parts you’d most like to see — and I’ll keep you updated as your bear takes shape.
How many items of clothing do I need for a memory bear?
[CONFIRM] Most bears come from one or two garments — a single shirt, cardigan or dressing gown is usually enough. If you have a particular piece in mind, tell me about it and I’ll let you know what’s possible.
How big are the bears?
[CONFIRM] My bears come in a few different sizes. They often turn out bigger than people are expecting — which, going by the messages I get, is exactly how everyone likes them.
What fabrics work best?
Most clothing works beautifully — shirts, jumpers, cardigans, dressing gowns, blouses, even little baby clothes. Buttons, collars and pockets can be kept too, if they mean something to you. If you’re unsure about a particular fabric, just ask.
How long does it take?
Around three weeks is usual from the time your items reach me. If you’re working towards a funeral or another fixed date, please get in touch — I’ll always do my best to help when time is short.
Sending or dropping off your items
You can drop your items off with me in person here in Newcastle, or post them from anywhere in the UK. Lots of people feel easier handing precious things over face to face — and that’s exactly why I offer it.
